Tasty Vegetable Rice

Ingredients:

1-1 cup basmati rice
2- 2 cups water or vegetable stock
3- 1 tablespoon olive oil or spread
4- 1 onion, finely cleaved
5- 2 cloves garlic, minced
6- 1 carrot, diced
7- 1 chime pepper, diced (any tone)
8- 1 cup green peas (new or frozen)
9- 1 zucchini, diced
10- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
11- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
12- 1/2 teaspoon paprika or stew       powder (discretionary)
13- Salt and pepper to taste
– New cilantro or parsley for embellish (discretionary)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Rice:

1- Flush the basmati rice under chilly water until the water runs clear.
2- In a medium pot, heat 2 cups of water or vegetable stock to the point of boiling.
3- Add the rice, diminish the intensity, cover, and let it stew for around 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is assimilated. Put away.
